This is a famous tune about a horse named São Jorge written by one of Brazil's greatest musical geniuses to ever live: Hermeto Pascoal. Hermeto is a multi-instrumentalist albino from Pernambuco who writes literally a tune a day. He will write tunes on napkins, trash cans, walls, whatever is in front of him when inspiration strikes. The instruments he uses to compose with range from his piano to baby piglets to literally his own beard. You have to hear it to believe it.

During this piece Hermeto makes horse noises and slowly speeds up like a horse would. Ted and I always pretend we are racing horses and ask the audience to place their bets.
