about

AVAILABLE PUBLICLY EXCLUSIVELY FOR BANDCAMP Black Friday - 11/26/2021!!

This was the album that started it all. I recorded this my senior year of high school around the time I was applying to college, knowing that if I didn't record an album then and there I might not get another chance for several years due to college and the directions life might take after that.

It's a very special album to me because it is a true snapshot of who I was as a fiddler and a musician. The music I ate, lived, and breathed at the time was traditional Irish music and that is in full force here.

I also made a point to showcase some of my compositions, considering that to be almost a prerequisite to releasing an album. Of course I was wrong but it does encapsulate how seriously I took being a composer as much as being a fiddler.

It was an even bigger honor to get to work with some heroes of mine John Doyle and John Skelton. I'll never forget how serious they took the project and the sublime musicianship they brought to this project of a doe-eyed 17-year-old kid. I hope you enjoy :)
